Get Back Up

There will come a million moments in your life when you will stumble, you will fall down, you will get hurt , but there is one thing that you can do and you will become invincible and that is “getting back up”.

A person who chose not to accept the defeat and comes back stronger every time he is down is literally invincible. You cannot defeat a man who falls and gets back up every time.

You’ve all heard of Robert Downey Jr. aka IRON MAN. More than 20 years ago, he was charged for drugs and violence and was sent to jail. Everyone thought his career had finished but he came back. He came back and became one of the most popular actor in the world and gave us the most loved character ever.

Robert Downey Jr said “Just because you hit the bottom doesn’t mean you have to stay there”.

And that is the thing, if you fall down, get back up, i know it’s difficult, i know it hurts but you have to do it. It is the only way to take out the ultimate failure out of the equation and when you don’t have any fear of failure, nothing can stop you from achieving the highest success.

Think about it.

Dream vs Reality

Don’t let anyone tell you that your dreams are crazy and far from reality.

In fact, Dreams are the most real things you can have because ultimately you become what you dream and believe. You are a direct result of the level of your dreams.

So, no matter what happens , do not downgrade your dreams to fit the present, rather, work and and change your present so that it can become exactly what you dream.

Have a Good Day 🤗

The life on the Mississippi

Life on the Mississippi (1883) is a memoir by Mark Twain of his days as a steamboat pilot on the Mississippi River before the American Civil War. It is also a travel book, recounting his trip up the Mississippi River from New Orleans to Saint Paul many years after the war.

The book begins with a brief history of the river as reported by Europeans and Americans, beginning with the Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto in 1542.[2] It continues with anecdotes of Twain’s training as a steamboat pilot, as the ‘cub’ (apprentice) of an experienced pilot, Horace E. Bixby. He describes, with great affection, the science of navigating the ever-changing Mississippi River in a section that was first published in 1876, entitled “Old Times on the Mississippi”. Although Twain was actually 21 when he began his training, he uses artistic license to make himself seem somewhat younger, referring to himself as a “fledgling” and a “boy” who “ran away from home” to seek his fortune on the river, and playing up his own callowness and naïveté.

In the second half, Twain narrates his trip many years later on a steamboat from St. Louis to New Orleans, shortly followed by a steamboat journey from New Orleans to St Paul (with a stop at his boyhood home town of Hannibal, MO). He describes the competition from railroads, and the new, large cities, and adds his observations on greed, gullibility, tragedy, and bad architecture. He also tells some stories that are most likely tall tales.

Before The Exit – Thought Experiment for Entrepreneurs

Greetings!!!

I have uploaded yet another audiobook on youtube – “Before the Exit- Thought Experiment for Entrepreneurs by Dan Andrews”

Here is the link to the audiobook 👇

Overview of the book

In the entrepreneurial world, it’s rarely questioned that “exiting” is the end goal of a smartly built business and a prestigious waypoint in a successful career.

Since building and selling a business can take years – or even decades – you can’t exactly “practice” exiting your business. The best you can do is learn from others.

In 2015, Dan Andrews and Ian Schoen sold their product business, which they built over the course of 7 years and employed 15 people, for multi-seven figures. While they don’t regret selling the business – there are many mistakes they made that were avoidable.

Whether you are still in the early stages of building a business or thinking of selling, this book is designed to help you build with the future in mind.

This book presents a series of 5 thought experiments including:

– The Lifestyle Ladder

– The Mock Tax Rebate featuring the Mediocre CEO Test

– The Hidden Upsides

– The Cash Conundrum

– The Dirty Secret

It turns out there are patterns and predictable challenges coming your way when you prepare to exit your business. Knowing about them in advance is fun and potentially very profitable.

The five thought experiments that you’ll read about in this book are designed to give you clarity and confidence as you think through what it might mean to sell your business.
